Cornwall

This August I went to the Cornwall area of England with Mike and Darrin a couple of friends from work. Cornwall is considered one of the nicer regions of England because it typically has warmer weather and good waves.

We rented a car and Drove from London on Friday after work. It took about five hours to get to our hotel "Hotel California" in Newquay. When we got up in the morning we took a drive out to Lands End, the western most tip of England, just a bit past Penzance (yes as in the Pirates of Penzance). We shot a few photo's and hiked around a bit. It was a beautiful day as you can see.

After the breif trip out to Lands End we headed back to Newquay for a little bay fishing. It turned out to be a pretty good fishing trip....

We made some friends... though they seemed more interested in our bait than being patted on the head.
I caught the biggest fish of the day, a Pollock as well as a nice sized Black Breem.

Mike and Darrin drove the boat back to the marina while the Captain cleaned up our catch.

We spent the evening exploring the town... which is a haven for stag and hen nights. There were quite a few parties roaming the bars acting silly. All in all it was some good entertainment. The next morning (Sunday) we drove back to London. Then we got cleaned up and had a BBQ at Darrins. Here is a couple of Breem.. which were really tasty!

It was good fun and I am looking forward to another trip at some point....
